This is the part of a mission statement that is usually decorative. It is not decorative here. In a specialist reinsurer the underwriter who answers the submission, the actuary who prices it and the claims handler who settles it are the product, and the client experiences the company entirely through them.
Why this matters commercially
In this way we maintain a solid reputation that generates great trust. In reinsurance, reputation is not a marketing asset. It is the reason a cedant places a treaty with a young balance sheet, the reason a broker brings the submission first, and the reason a retrocessionaire offers capacity on terms. It is earned one renewal at a time and lost in a single claim handled badly.
